Overview

Our's is a historic Victorian townhouse with 14 ft. ceilings, a baby grand piano, and wonderful erhnic art. Each room has a different ambiance and decor -- the Sedona (Native/Early American) , Haitian (an island getaway in the middle of a city), and Serengeti (filled with African art, artifacts, and fabrics, including mosquito netting and marble fireplace) Rooms. We serve a full breakfast -- gournet, hearty country, vegetarian, and vegan. Guests are greeted with a hug and either champagne or sparkling cider or both. At extra cost guests can have in-room spa treatments.

Guests can walk to most of Baltimore's main attractions - Neighborhood swimming pool and tennis courts, Charles Street Restaurant Row, Meyerhoff Symphany Row, Lyric Opera House, Bascillica, Walters Art Museum, City Zoo, Maryland Institure College of Art, University of Baltimore, Inner Harbor, Orioles Baseball and Ravens Football Stadiums, B&B Railroad Museum, Amtrak Train Station, and Baltimore Convention Center.

Other nearby attractions are Fells Point, Federal Hill, Little Italy, Reginald Lewis Maryland African American Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art, Johns Hopkins University and/or Hospital, U. of Maryland Hospital and Medical School, Frederick Douglass Museum, Eubbie Black Art Center, National Acquarium, Morgan State and Coppin State Universities, Black in Wax Museum, Sea Food and Crab houses/resautants, and BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Located in historic Bolton Hill, where all houses were 110 to 160 years old, our guests can walk to many of Baltimore's main attraction. The Amtrak train station, U. of Baltimore, Maryland Institure College of Art, Meyerhoff Symphany Hall, Lyric Opera House, Charles Street Restaurant Row is 5 - 6 blocks away. The Walter's Gallery and Zoo are 10 blocks away.

  DirectionsWe are in downtown Baltimore where guests can walk to many of the city's main attraction. We are also 5 to 6 blocks from the Amtrak/commuter train station.
  TransportationWe are 3 - 4 blocks away from 3 Light Rail (public transportation) stations; 3 blocks from a Metro station. We are also 3 blocks from an interstate -- 83 -- and a main thorofare that guests can use to drive to the Inner Harbor, baseball and football stadiums (7 minutes away), airport (15 minutes away) and suburban shopping centers.

All of our rooms have different themes and ambiance. Each room also contains reading areas, a coffee maker with gourmet coffees, cappucinos, flavored apple ciders, cocoas, and international/herbal teas. Guest rooms contain bath-robes, irons and ironing boards, and bottled water. We are slowly adding TVs to each room. There is a common sitting room with a DVD player, CD player, mini bar, extra bottled water, cards, and games (Ono, scrabble, monopoly - regular and Baltimore editions, backgamon, and more). The is usually wine, but always wine and other glasses.

Sedona Room: Native/Early American decor. Native American art and artifacts. Large closet; rocking chair; coffee maker with gourmet coffee, flavored cappacino, cocoa, apple cider, international and herbal teas; flavored creamers and sweetners, and bottled water. TV and towels and robes in room. This room shares a full bathroom and half with the Haitian Room.

La Petite Haiti (Haitian Room): A sun filled room with original Haitian art, sitting area and guest robes. There are also a large closet; iron and ironing board; coffee maker with gourmet coffee, flavored cappacino, cocoa, apple cider, international and herbal teas; flavored creamers and sweetners, and bottled water. TV, towels and robes in room. This room shares a full bathroom and a half with the Sedona Room.

Serengeti: Filled with African art, artifacts, and fabrics. There floor to ceiling bookshelves with all types of reading materials. Guests have the option of having two twin long beds or a King Bed. There is a beautiful marbel fireplace and optional lighting. Guests may sleep under mosquito netting if they wish. The Serengeti Room also has an armwoir and sitting area; coffee maker with gourmet coffee, flavored cappacino, cocoa, apple cider, international and herbal teas; flavored creamers and sweetners, and bottled water. TV and towels and robes in room. This room has its own bathroom.

Payment Information

Available Discounts: Government (with gov. invoice) during the week, travel agents, and guest stay longer than three days.
Deposit requested prior to arrival: After confirming your reservation, you will be contacted by Phoenix Risin'.
Taxes: 12.50% tax will be added to the quoted room rate at the time of payment.
Additional charges: A charge may be incurred for extra persons in a room.

Cancellation policy: (booking payments are non-refundable, unless specified otherwise)
Guests must guarantee reservations with payment of the first night's stay, unless it is a holiday weekend. Then full payment is required. A full refund will be given to guests who cancel more than 7 days of anticipated arrival date. However, there is a $40 admistration fee for processing the cancellation. No refund will be given if guest cancel less than 7 days. Guests are responsible for payment in full for early departures, unless we are able to book the room(s) in question for the remainder of the reservation period.
